Virginia Is For Lovers

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Richmond, Virginia
.
Virginia has these LOVE signs around the state, including at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, where I hang out. It’s a shout-out to the state them of “Virginia Is For Lovers”. This one (of course!) has a gardening theme.
I didn’t realize it was a state wide thing until I started seeing them come up on the Exploring Virginia Facebook page. So here’s my contribution and some links where you can see the other signs.

How LOVEly! Excellent idea. We all need love anytime, anywhere. Thanks for the links. ❤
They really are interesting! I think I like the one at the botanical gardens the best, but the others do a good job of reflecting their local culture.
That’s what Art should be all about. 👍
Oh road trip ideas!!!
For some years now Canada has been putting pairs of red chairs in national parks and historic sites:

Lots of visitors have their pictures taken in those chairs. As for love, Subaru makes a big thing out of it in their ads. For me, commercialization of that word is antithetical to its meaning.
Those red chairs are interesting! Thanks for sharing that.
I agree with you on how overused the word “LOVE” is. Honestly, I saw that sign at Ginter a number of times before I realized this was more than just some garden sculpture. Some of my fellow photographers have Facebook have urged me to travel around the state and get pictures of the other ones out there, but it just doesn’t appeal to me. There are so many other ways to spend my time and money.
You can never have too much love! These signs are great.
I’m glad you liked it! I’m loving seeing Dot and the grandkids on Facebook. They’re all growing up so fast!
