Living The Seasons

Here in the United States, today is the celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence from British rule.  A summary of the declaration and what it says can be found here.

So here’s a celebration of the flag colors of red, white & blue!

    1. The Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens does them every April. Each pinwheel represents a child who has been helped by “Prevent Child Abuse – Virginia’s Healthy Families Program”. This year had over 4,000 pinwheels. They’re really pretty, but I wish there weren’t so many. It’s a sad commentary on children & their families.

          1. No, it was a wonderful visual tribute to them, and it does represent so vividly, the meaning of the blue of our flag: vigilance, perseverance & justice. :-)
