2012 Yearbook
I had a really good year – gosh, did I ever enjoy it! This week’s photo challenge was to show 2012 in Photos, so I put together a gallery showing what I was up to this year. I also went through my blog and put together a list of my favorite posts, which are listed after the photos.
Remember that if you view this on my blog, you can roll your mouse over each photo to see a description. If you double-click on any of them, it will start a slide show that shows them full-size.

What a Way to summarize your year! A lovely post.
Lovely, colorful memories. Happy New Year!
Thanks Patti – Happy New Year to you as well! You were the number one commenter on my blog this year – thank you so much! I’ll be sharing the stats later plus the milestone of 500 blog posts.
Congrats on getting to 500, I should be there later this week. Hard to imagine!
It went by quicker than I thought it would!
Lovely wrap up . . . hope you made some PESTO from all that Basil. ;)
Thanks Nancy. No, no pesto – I really don’t like it. What I do is run the basil through the food processor with a stream of olive oil until it makes a slurry. I freeze it flat in a Ziplock bag, then break off pieces to use in my cooking during the winter. It gives a wonderful flavor and maintains its colors pretty well.

What a beautiful montage of your year, Nancy! I look forward to next years treasure here on your blog. Although, I have to share that I am totally jealous that your Chihuly photo of the glass filled boat came out better than mine did! ;)
Thanks Lynda – such nice compliments! There will definitely be more treasures on my blog in 2013.
Can you believe I took all those Chihuly photos with my iPhone? My VMFA tickets said clearly no photos of the special exhibits, but when we got there they were allowing photos. I was going to go back with my better camera, but the iPhone ones turned out surprisingly good.
I love your photos, your year looks fun, a bit like mine :) your photos are really stunning. Now that I know that a post like this will be at the end of the 2013 challenges I will keep photos in mind for it! Thanks for your help with the gallery :)
You have had a fabulous year!! The pictures say it all. I look forward to your posts and photos in 2013.
Thanks Darlene!
Please accept my thanks for all your supportive words this year — you have been steadfast. Your yearbook is lovely — as your photos always are, so pretty. I hope 2013 is another great year. Beagles rule! 8-)
Judith – you are very welcome. I’m glad it helped.
And the beagle agrees with you and is glad to have readers who are on his side!
What a beautiful year! Thanks for sharing all the fun. Hope your new year brings lots of inspiration, adventures, and joy
Thank you. You’ve been so faithful in stopping by this year – I appreciate it so much.
You have a Happy New Year also – may it bring the same for you as well!
Love your dogs photos. They look so content. And, your photos of Williamsburg are lovely.
Thank you! I always appreciate when you stop by for a few minutes.
enjoyed all the snaps. I like your hair a little longer too. Looking forward to 2013.
Thank you! I liked it longer too, but when the weather got colder (and less humid), it really went flat and I’ve gone back to wearing it shorter for now. It’s humid here for most of the year, so by March I’ll let it go longer again.
I’m looking forward to 2013 also, but I have to say 2012 was a good year. I am happy with it.
I agree with Naomi! Oh and my favourite is the one from the Botanical Gardens.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! Naomi sure did nail it, didn’t she? Which one from the botanical gardens did you particularly like? There were several there and I was just curious.
The one with the yellow flowers. Black-eyed susans maybe?
I love those! There was a huge stand of them at the botanical gardens and I probably took > 100 photos as I knew that even by the following weekend they would be in decline.
Nice collage of photos. Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy 2013.
Thanks Kitty and the same to you!
Are you continuing your blog next year? Any changes?
I am pondering those blog question. Guess I best be deciding as the clock is ticking towards 2013.
Nah, there’s no rush. Keep doing what you want as you think it over.
What a full life you lead, and what a good eye you have! Beautiful photos, both long shots and close ups, and you have also captured the spirit and character of a family.
Thank you SO much Naomi! It sure was a good year this year, unlike 2010 when it took me two tries to come up with an anemic list of top 5 accomplishments. I also appreciated your observations on my shots – they sure are long and close, capturing the spirit and character of my family. I hadn’t thought of it that way and am glad you pointed it out.
I have nominated you for the 2012 Blog of the Year. Happy New Year!

Thanks Naomi! That was really sweet of you!
Outstanding!
I’m glad you liked it – thanks for stopping by!
Colonial Williamsburg – a dream …
And I only live an hour away! It’s so much fun to be that close.
