Contemporary Picture
I engaged Cheryl McCullough to take some portrait shots of me when I was in Atlanta recently. I wanted something more contemporary to use on LinkedIn and for other photo needs.
I’d met Cheryl at the Farmer’s Market when I visited my daughter in July and was impressed with her work. She does only natural light shots, so for my photo shoot we met at a local botanical garden.
I haven’t seen the finished pictures yet, but she let me see a sneak preview. Here’s one I liked:

Word for tomorrow – TONE. If you prefer to work ahead, see the list for the week under “A Word A Day”.

It’s so nice to see your smiling face :) Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog.
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
It’s nice. Very natural. I need a good head shot too, which may be an oxy moron for me.
Thank you. I like your recent headshot – don’t you? You have a pretty smile and look very pretty. That old picture of you at the Gorbachev / Reagan event was a hoot – I wouldn’t have recognized you! http://randomthoughtsfrommidlife.wordpress.com/2011/08/18/fun-with-photoshop/
i may have to check cheryl out and get a photo done of moie…yours is fabulous! :)
I was really happy with the sneak preview. She is very affordable – her business model is simple and works very nicely.
That is such a nice photo! So natural and just as I remember you. Jaimie likes happy faces and animated faces so all the shots of you and your hubby are winners. Of course, he is the one that is always animated. :)
He certainly is animated and loves goofing around for the camera. Thanks for the comment – I hadn’t thought of it that way, but the animation is what makes it work. I’ve seen others who posted photos of themselves laughing and really like the way it looked, which is why I asked Cheryl to take some llike that.
I love the photo, even if it is still at the ‘proof’ stage.
I appreciate the compliment! I will probably have the photos this week – I can’t wait to see what the rest of them look like.
Such a hearty smile Nancy!! Love the picture.
Thanks!
