Tough Cookie – I’m In Trouble Now

Scroll down to content

My daughter is a tough cookie.  She works in a male dominated field after attending a male dominated college.  Her parents are both strong personalities (no! really?).  She breeds and shows big dogs and has had to fight back unethical breeders and customers who tried to destroy her reputation.  She’s works hard for her accomplishments and the life she has.

But when we were at the farmer’s market a few weeks ago, I swung up my camera to take pictures and she said, “MOM WHAT ARE YOU DOING”, I have to admit, I did shrink back just a bit.  And this picture says it all – can you hear the exasperation in her voice?  All that’s missing are the hands on the hips and tapping her foot.  The rest of my pictures were strictly of the vegetables.

Word for tomorrow – SUPER.  If you prefer to work ahead, see the list for the week under “A Word A Day”.

    1. Good hint!  Actually she’s pretty good about it, just not at that particular moment.  Her Dad had warned her that I was doing daily photos but I don’t think she realized until that moment that it meant taking pictures every single day.  I also got some good ones of the rest of the farmers market – I just liked that one the best.

  1. If my favorite canine could talk and stand erect…she’d do exactly as your daughter did. No pictures, please!!! It just dawned on me…I’m the same way. OMG…the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. ;)

  2. See now I remember a photo-crazy mother defending takings dozens on pictures during the 100 degree heat… but I remember no shrinking back at all :) My mother would never shrink back from anything :)

    1. BUSTED!! However, I did not take any more pictures of you at the farmer’s market. I just did it later in the day ha ha.

      I’m happy you’re reading these. That’s great.

    1. You're right and I try to be sensitive to that, especially with people I don't know.  She's actually pretty good about letting me take her picture.  I'd noticed that I don't have many new pictures the last few years so I've been taking more of her and her Dad.
